One Year Stats

Today Caroline had her one-year doctor's appointment. She weighs 20 lbs, 10 oz and is 31 inches tall (42nd percentile for weight, 97th percentile for height). According to the doctor, Caroline is doing great. It was so funny to see her during her appointment. She was so animated and "talking" nonstop! (That is, until she got her shots.) We are so thankful that Caroline is healthy and flourishing!

Sweet Charlotte Lee

Our best friends, Jennifer and Jason, have a new baby girl! Charlotte Lee was born on Friday, May 22nd, at 9:30 AM. As you can see from the pictures below, she is so beautiful and precious. There is nothing like holding a newborn baby in your arms. It seems like forever ago that Caroline was that small! Charlotte, Jennifer, and Jason are doing great. We have waited 9 months to meet this precious blessing, and we are so excited she is here! Caroline is ready to go play with Charlotte! I know they are going to be best friends and have a great time together (once Charlotte gets a little older!).

Happy 1st Birthday, Caroline

Saturday, May 23rd, was our sweet Caroline's first birthday. This year has gone by so fast; I cannot believe our baby girl is 1! We had a wonderful weekend celebrating Caroline's birthday. All of our family from Mississippi came over to help celebrate! Caroline's birthday party was on Saturday, and she had a great time at her party. She enjoys being the center of attention! Her party was a cupcake theme. Caroline, Shelby, and Kate enjoyed decorating cupcakes. My mom made aprons for the girls to wear. They turned out so cute! I hope you enjoy these pictures from her birthday.

Beach Trip

Last weekend I got to go on a girls beach trip with my best friends from high school. We had so much fun! I have known most of these girls since we were in 5-year old kindergarten at Hillcrest Christian School in Jackson, MS. We grew up together and have remained close all these years. I know we will always have a special bond because our friendships are rooted in our love for Jesus. Caroline got to spend some quality time with her Dada while I was gone. They had a great time together! And as you can see in the pictures below, the girls and I had a great time at the beach!

Happy Mother's Day

I have had a wonderful Mother's Day with Caroline and Tripp. We went to church this morning and then to lunch with our friends Jennifer and Jason. And then we came home and all 3 of us took a nice long nap! Tripp and Caroline gave me a card, some beautiful flowers, and a picture box holding pictures of me and Caroline. How sweet!
Caroline also made this for me at school. It is my favorite Mother's Day present.

Tripp and I missed being with our mothers today, but we are looking forward to seeing them in 2 weeks for Caroline's birthday. We are both blessed with precious Moms who are also the best grandmothers! We love you so much, Puppy and Winnie!

Sharing

Caroline is very good at sharing, not with her toys, but with her passy, her sippy cup, or her bottle. Here she is trying to give her Dada some of her bottle. Too cute!

Golf, Girl Time, and Good Food

This weekend Tripp and Jason are playing in a golf tournament at the HCC. While they were golfing, Caroline and I went over to Jason and Jennifer's house and took inventory of baby Charlotte's things. Since she is scheduled to arrive in 3 weeks, Jennifer, be the ever prepared Mom that she is, wanted to be sure she had everything she needed for Charlotte. We had a great time visiting together, and Caroline enjoyed breaking in some of Charlotte's toys! Tonight Jason and Jennifer came over for dinner. We had Outback to go, and then some delicious chocolate desserts from the Chocolate Crocodile. It was a very fun Saturday!

It has been raining pretty much all weekend long, but this past week we have had some beautiful weather. Tripp was off on Tuesday of this week and we took Caroline to a park up the street. She loves to swing! Here are some pictures of Caroline enjoying herself at the park.
