Olivia's Dedication

A couple of weeks ago we went to Olivia's dedication service. It was such a special night for our entire family. We got to see Lesley and Jeremy dedicate themselves as parents to raise Olivia in a Christian home and always point her to Jesus. And we dedicated ourselves as her family to always model Jesus Christ for her.

Catherine was awake for most of the service. Aunt Dodo held her and entertained her!

Olivia wore the same dress Caroline and Catherine wore for their dedication. She looked so precious in it!

After the service, we went to Lesley and Jeremy's house for dinner and visited with friends and family. We took some pictures of the girls together.

Dress Up!

Before Christmas, I took Caroline to see the Nutcracker ballet. She loved it and is still talking about it. She knows the story of the Nutcracker and likes to act it out sometimes. She likes to play Clara or the Sugar Plum Fairy! I took some pictures of her one morning when she dressed up like the Sugar Plum Fairy and performed a ballet for me!

Caroline also loves to dress up in her princess dresses. Tripp and I were so excited to take Caroline to the movies to see Beauty and the Beast 3D. It was her second trip to the movies. She enjoyed the movie but didn't want to wear the 3D glasses. We surprised her with a Belle dress and matching shoes the night of the movie!

Yum Yum!

Caroline could not wait to feed Catherine rice cereal. She was so excited to feed her sister that right after Catherine's doctor's appointment we went to Kroger to buy some rice cereal! And that afternoon Caroline fed her her first bites!

Catherine was not quite sure what to think, but she seemed to like it okay. We have been feeding her rice cereal once a day now, and she is doing good with it!

4 Months!

Catherine is 4 months old! We are enjoying every minute with this sweet girl. She is so precious! At her 4 month doctor's appointment she weighed 15 pounds, 8 ounces (88%), and was 25 inches long (80%). We are so thankful for our healthy, growing girl!

Catherine has discovered her feet this month and loves grabbing them and trying to put them in her mouth. She is also trying very hard to roll over! She is getting close to sitting up all by herself, too.

She loves her swing and her exersaucer. Now that she can completely stand up in her exersaucer she is enjoying it even more!

Catherine loves her big sister. If Caroline is in the room, Catherine's eyes are on her. Caroline can make her laugh and smile better than anyone! Tripp and I are so amazed to see their sisterly bond forming at such young ages! They love each other so much! Caroline is so sweet to play with Catherine and spend time entertaining her.

It has been such a joy watching Catherine and Olivia together. It is fun to see how much they've grown and see them smile and laugh.

3 Months Old!

Sunday was Catherine's 3-month birthday! I cannot believe she is already 3 months old. She is so precious, and we are enjoying every moment with our baby girl! She is starting to be very interactive and she even started laughing this past week. She is still sleeping through the night and eats every 3.5 hours during the day.

Catherine has the sweetest smile!

Olivia came over to play on Catherine's birthday.

Catherine loves her mobile that Puppy gave her. She squeals with delight when she is watching it!

Catherine loves her Kick & Play bouncer. Lesley got it from a friend and gave it to Mom to keep at her house for the girls. Catherine loved it so much that Mom passed it on to me. She will kick and kick and kick!

Catherine loves her big sister, and Caroline is equally smitten with her. Caroline wants to hold Catherine every morning while I make breakfast.

Smith Family Christmas

Yes, this is my last Christmas post! The day after Christmas we went to my parents' house to celebrate with Puppy, Granddaddy, Aunt Bessie, Uncle Jeremy, Olivia, and Aunt Dianne. Puppy had made a delicious brunch so we ate and then started with our stockings.

Olivia was very excited to open her stocking!

Puppy had each little girl a monkey in their stocking. Catherine loves this monkey. She played with it all day and stills plays with it all the time. She likes to grab the monkey by the tail!

Caroline loved her Clara figurine that was in her stocking. She is into everything Nutcracker right now after going to the ballet!

Lesley and I with our stockings

Puppy and Granddaddy loved their picture book from the girls.

Caroline loved her Rapunzel doll and dress from Aunt Bessie and Uncle Jeremy.

Lesley and I wanted to do something special for Mom and Dad since they have been such a big help to us with our new baby girls and big sister!

Caroline and Aunt Bessie playing with her new Doggie Doo game

Olivia and Catherine were worn out from all of the excitement and fun!

Aunt Dianne arrived that afternoon and we exchanged presents with her. We had a great day spending time with our family and visiting with Aunt Dianne.
