Road Trip!

Last weekend, Caroline and I went to Jackson to visit family. It was our first road trip, just me and Caroline. I was pretty nervous about driving 5 hours by myself with her, but she did great. She slept a lot of the way and was happy most of the time she was awake. We stopped once at Cracker Barrel during the trip for a feeding and bathroom break. All in all, it went much better than I had expected! And once we got to Jackson, we had a wonderful visit with our family!

Puppy bought Caroline her first pair of little church shoes. Caroline loved them!

Caroline loves story time with Puppy!

During our time in Jackson, Caroline starting waving hello and bye bye! I love Granddaddy's face in this picture. He is so excited!

Happy Birthday, sweet Caroline! She is 8 months old today. (Thank you, Aunt Bessie, for the cute outfit!)

Happy New Year!

Caroline has started off the New Year with a bang! She is crawling everywhere and getting into everything! She is pulling up on things, too. She also said her first word last week, "Mama"! I was getting her dressed and she looked up and said "Mama", and now she says it all the time. It just melts my heart each time she says it. So sweet. We are working on "Dada", but she has not said that yet! She is also enjoying playing with all the toys she got for Christmas.

Caroline loves playing her piano. She plays a few notes and then waits for her applause!

Caroline loves to crawl over to the magazine rack and pull out every magazine.

One of Caroline's new favorite toys is her activity table. She loves to stand up and play on it.

Sweet Caroline wearing her cute new outfit from her Aunt Di.

Here she comes, trying to crawl out of the chair while I am taking pictures. She is always on the move these days!

It's Great to BEAT a Florida Gator

Hotty Toddy! That's right, Ole Miss is the only team in the nation to beat the current National Champions this year. We were doing the Gator Chomp at our house last night. Don't get me wrong, we are not Florida fans, but we were pulling for the Gators last night. First, because we know the SEC is the strongest football conference in the nation, and because we beat Florida in the Swamp this year! Go Rebels! So all I can say is "It's great to BEAT a Florida Gator"!

Hotty Toddy!

Go Rebels go! The Ole Miss Rebels defeated Texas Tech (ranked #8) in the Cotton Bowl 47-34. We were so excited to see the Rebels win! I don't know if you had a chance to watch the game, but it was a great one! The Red Raiders jumped ahead of us 14-0 in the 1st quarter after 2 Ole Miss turnovers, but after that it was all Rebels! At the end of the game one of the Ole Miss players held up a sign that said, "94% of people thought we couldn't do it, but WE DID!" The Rebel Nation is so excited to have Houston Nutt as our coach and to win the Cotton Bowl. We are already looking forward to the football season next year.
