Happy Halloween!

Caroline is very excited about her first Halloween! We are going to the Fall Festival at our church tomorrow night. Caroline had a hard time deciding what she wanted to be for Halloween -- a panda, a pumpkin, or a "pea in the pod". She also thought about wearing the kimono her Uncle Tyler brought her from Japan (thanks, Uncle Tyler!). I ordered her a panda costume, but it was too big for her, so we had to move on to the other choices. She has decided that she is going to be "a pea in the pod" for the Fall Festival tomorrow night. But as you can see below, she has enjoyed wearing all of her choices!

The cutest "pea in a pod" that I have ever seen!

Decked out in her kimono!

What a sweet smile!

Weekend with the Grandparents

Last weekend Tripp and I went to Tuscaloosa for the Ole Miss/Alabama football game with our friends Jason and Jennifer. Winnie and Granddaddy Dixon came to Huntsville to keep Caroline for the weekend. This was our first overnight trip without Caroline, and we missed her so much. But she had a great time with her grandparents. We knew she was in good hands, so we were able to enjoy the fun time with friends. Thank you, Jason and Jennifer, for showing us such a fun time in Tuscaloosa! And thank you, Winnie and Granddaddy, for keeping Caroline! She is already looking forward to having many more sleepovers with her grandparents.

On the Move!

Caroline rolled over for the first time on Monday! I had been with her for 96 hours straight, and of course, she picked the 30 minutes I was gone running an errand to roll over! Tripp called me and said I missed it, but after I got home she rolled over several more times for me. Little did I know that her Daddy was coaxing her into rolling over by letting her play with his hair and then moving further and further away from her until she was forced to roll over to pull his hair again! It was really funny to watch! She is getting more active everyday. She loves her exersaucer. She tries to pull all of the attachments and get them in her mouth. It is too cute to watch her spin herself around just grabbing at things! This is such a fun time to be Caroline's Mom and Dad!

Hotty Toddy!

This weekend we went to Ole Miss for homecoming. It was Caroline's first trip to Ole Miss. We took her to the Grove before the football game, and she had a great time. She loved tailgating with the other Ole Miss fans, listening to the band play "Dixie", and cheering "Hotty Toddy". She cannot wait to spend her 4 years there for college! This is just her first trip of many to God's country, otherwise known as Ole Miss.

Yum, Yum!

This week we started feeding Caroline rice cereal...and she loves it! At first, she had this look on her face like what am I eating, but after a few bites she was reaching for the spoon and trying to feed herself. She is such a big girl now, sitting up in her Bumbo and eating from a spoon. And she is still as precious and sweet as the day she was born, if not more!
