Sunday, May 31st, was Tripp's 29th birthday. Yes, May is a big month for our family. My birthday is May 9th, followed closely by Mother's Day. Our wedding anniversary is May 22nd (5 years this year!), and this day was also highlighted this year by Charlotte's birth. Caroline's first birthday was May 23rd, and Tripp's was the 31st. So it has been a busy month for our family!
We celebrated Tripp's birthday pretty low-key. We went to church on Sunday morning, and then we took Caroline to the pool for the first time. She had so much fun! She loves the water! For dinner, we got Outback to go and enjoyed a relaxing meal at home (much easier than going out to eat with a 1-year old!). I made cupcakes for dessert, Tripp's favorite!
I have just a few thoughts about my sweet husband in honor of his birthday. I am so blessed to have Tripp in my life. Not only is he a wonderful husband to me, but the best father to Caroline. I truly know that he loves "his girls" more than anything and would do anything for us. He puts up with me on a daily basis (which sometimes can be a challenge), and as he says, he balances me out! He is definitely the half that makes me whole, and I cannot imagine my life without him.
