Happy Father's Day

We celebrated Tripp's first Father's Day yesterday. I am so blessed to have Tripp as my husband, and he is already such a wonderful father to Caroline. She loves her Daddy so much. Sometimes he is the only one who can get her to stop crying! He just has that special touch. I can see the special bond between father and daughter beginning to form already. The other night while Caroline was sleeping, Tripp and I were talking about her and how much we love her. Tripp was telling me the story of when he went to the hospital nursery with Caroline for her first bath right after delivery. After her bath, he sat and rocked her for 2 hours. He said he knew then how much he loved her and that she was the most precious thing to him in the world. It was so sweet to hear him talk about his love for her. Words cannot express how thankful I am to have Tripp and Caroline in my life.

2-Week Update

Today Caroline had her 2-week visit to the pediatrician. She currently weighs 7 lbs, 14 oz. and has grown one inch, making her 21 inches tall! She is healthy and doing great. We are now working on keeping her awake during the day, so hopefully she (and Mom and Dad) will sleep during the night. She is enjoying time with her Daddy while he is off from work. She especially loves late night story time.
